Raphael Sanzio was born in Urbino on April 6th 1483, and died in Rome on April 6th 1520, right on his birthday, at the young age of 37. He began his work in Urbino, moved to Florence, and then was invited to come to Rome by Pope Julius II, at the suggestion of his friend, architect Donato Bramante. We will begin our tour in the Trastevere district with a visit to Villa Farnesina, formerly the residence of Agostino Chigi, a rich banker during the Renaissance. In this villa, built by architect Baldassarre Peruzzi, we will find paintings by Raphael and his assistants that depict mythological scenes, among which we will admire the renowned "Triumph of Galatea". We will then go see the home of "La Fornarina", one of Raphael's girlfriends. Crossing the Ponte Sisto we will stop at the church of Sant'Eligio degli Orefici, one of Raphael's architectural works. We will then move on through Piazza Farnese to the church of Santa Maria della Pace, where we will find Raphael's beautiful Sibyls. We will continue our tour at the church of Sant'Agostino to see the fresco of "Prophet Isaiah". Our visit will end at the Pantheon, where Raphael is buried.

The visit include : Villa Farnesina: "The Triumph of Galatea", the church of Santa Maria della Pace, Pantheon, the church of Sant'Agostino..
